Refreshing Retreats Founder
Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher

I believe Mindfulness, Meditation and Yoga and can be such helpful components to well-being. Time and again, I have seen this in my own life as well as in the lives of the people I have had the pleasure to work with.

In my late teens I struggled to find happiness, ease and self-acceptance.  Through a deeply felt need to connect with myself honestly I came to Yoga. In my first Yoga classes I knew right away that I was doing more than just taking care of my body—it was a doorway into my heart and mind. I am now most drawn to understanding and experiencing what invites a joyful connection to ourselves and others. This awareness continued to grow in my Yoga teaching and deepened with a Buddhist philosophy called Mindfulness. I combine the practices of Yoga and Mindfulness into a heart opening practice of Mindful Yoga.

I founded first Yoga for Everyone and then Santosha (inner contentment) Yoga Center, flourishing in a wonderful Yoga community in Seattle, WA for ten years.  Over the years of teaching countless classes, private sessions and retreats to beginners and experienced yogis alike, I have come to love the depth of experience that comes when we step outside of our daily routine and invest in our health and well-being.

I have been blessed to teach retreats in some on the world's most beautiful locations from the Pacific Northwest to Mexico and Costa Rica. I have also had the honor to study and mentor with wonderful Yoga and Mindfulness teachers including Silvia Boorstein, Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, Shiva Rea, Sarah Powers, John Friend and the Mount Madonna Center.

I love the practice of breath, compassionate self-acceptance and thoughtful movement. I hope you will join me for this wonderful practice!
