A mindful experience at the Whidbey Institute Retreat Center
During your weekend you can enjoy flow yoga, meditation, uplifting poetry, discussions and songs. There will be delicious and healthful cuisine made just for you each day. You can also drink in the frsh air in this majestic forest refuge. The weekend starts on Friday afternoon and continues until Sunday midday.
Spend the weekend with your mind, body and spirit. Calming Yoga and meditation will be offered for all levels. The retreat will emphasize mindfulness teachings, focusing on weaving the practices of living with an open heart into all that we do. There will be meditation practice taught daily and an invitation to spend one morning in silence.
Enjoy Yourself
We encourage you to shape the weekend to your individual needs. You may want to take only some of the yoga classes and make time for walking, reading or resting. There is no need to decide in advance - all classes and retreat facilities are open to participants.
Whidbey Institute Retreat Center
The Whidbey Institute is located in the center of the south end of Whidbey Island, just an hour north of Seattle, on a hundred acres of forest and meadowland. A restored Finnish farmstead blends with new retreat facilities into an ecological center. The land, with its fields, forest, wetlands, and extensive network of trails, engenders a spirit of thoughtful inquiry, contemplation, and renewal. This Center is called "Chinook."
